The SWOSU professor which was charged with two counts of child sexual abuse on Oct. 21, 2021 has now plead guilty as of Jan. 1, 2022.  

Devin Smoot was a SWOSU professor hired in 2019 for Computer Sciences. He has been removed from the faculty directory since the arrest has been announced. The university stated Smoot has not been on campus since late October and they do not comment on personal matters.  

The felony motion docket will be held Friday, April 4, 2022.
