Maicie Brown is a member of the track and field team at SWOSU and is originally from Weatherford, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Heidi Badgett and Robbye Brown. Brown graduated from Weatherford High School.

Brown had the opportunity to further her academic and athletic career in the same city where she attended high school.

“Weatherford holds a special place in my heart,” Brown said. “Growing up in a smaller town has made me appreciate the closeness in the community compared to bigger cities.”

Brown began college athletics on the track and field team at Tulsa before transferring back to SWOSU to come back home.

“I’m actually a transfer from the University of Tulsa,” Brown said. “I was ready to come home after 2 years in Tulsa and Jen was happy to have me on her team.”

After graduating from SWOSU, Brown plans on attending OU-OKC Health Science Center to work on a degree in Nursing with hopes of becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
