SWOSU soccer takes a 3-1 against ECU giving them a new season best of 3 goals in a game.
This match was a big game for the dawgs and it showed them what they are truly capable of. Savanna Clark opened it up in the first 12 minutes with a goal of her own. She was able to travel from midfield to the goal line and made the shot. This goal was a strong start for SWOSU.
Now about 30 minutes into the game Philippine de Sancy takes a goal with the help of two of her teammates, Hannah Guiterrez and Julie Andersen. All three worked with one another to get the goal. At the game you can see the team coming together and the excitement for everyone. They all support one another and only want the best for all, not just themselves.
ECU was able to reach a goal about an hour into the game. This was the one goal ECU scored and the dawgs responded quickly. About 10 minutes after this goal by the Tigers, SWOSU scored its 3rd and final goal of the game. This came from Katy Weiters with assistance from Ruth Vasquez.
This game was a strong showing for the dawgs with not just three goals but 14 shots on goal and 22 shots total. ECU was held to only 11 shots with 6 on goal.
The dawgs are carrying on in conference play now 2 – 3. The hope to carry this win to the rival field of Northwestern Oklahoma state Wednesday, October 16th at 6pm.
