Temperatures are falling and leaves are changing which is the perfect time to spend outside and admire the nice weather and beautiful scenery. As fall break gets closer, ditch the stress of your everyday routine and enjoy some of these fall activities during your break.
1. Pumpkin Farm
There are several family-owned pumpkin farms in Western Oklahoma. These family-friendly events host a carnival-like environment with games, mazes, hay rides, and pumpkins! Oor Family Farm is a family-owned farm located in Oklahoma City. The pumpkin farm holds over 25 attractions including hay rides, zip lining, a corn maze, cute photo backgrounds for your Instagram, and more. You can purchase a weekend pass for $21.95 or a weekday one for $18.95. If you are looking for a cheaper option Parkhurst Ranch admission is only $13. General admissions at Parkhurst includes a pumpkin patch, animal feedings, a corn maze, and a moonlight maze. The ranch is also home to Granny P’s gift shop that sells gourmet goods which can be a perfect gift for someone. If you don’t plan on driving over an hour for a pumpkin patch, Hydro P Bar Farms is a closer option. P Bar Farms provides family-friendly fun through hayrides, a petting zoo, train rides, and their iconic corn maze. Every year the farm creates an intricate corn maze that runs over 1 and 1/2 miles. The maze comes with 10 stopping points with fun trivia questions at each point to help visitors find their way out. 2. Haunted Houses
Get in the Halloween spirit by visiting a haunted house. 13th Door Haunted OKC is a 25,000 sq. ft scare ground hosting three haunted walk-throughs. General admission is $20 and is open to all ages. The 13th Door is open during all weekends of October and the first weekend in November from 7:00 pm to 11:30 pm. Another haunted house located in OKC is Nightfall Haunted Territory. This forest was voted #3 best haunts in the US offering three spooked-filled attractions. General admission starts at $35 with free parking. The attraction also has a bar and grill. An OKC fan favorite is Frontier City’s annual fright fest. Fright Fest has over 5 haunted houses, scare zones, and shows. Whether you like the thrill of a haunted house or you want to watch an upbeat Halloween show, Fright Fest has something for everyone.

3. Pumpkinville
Pumpkinville is a beautiful themed pumpkin farm hosted by OKC Myriad Botanical Gardens. This year’s Pumpkinville theme is The Mythical Creatures of Pumpkinville. General admission is $9 and includes a walk-through of the garden, a free craft, daily storytimes, and a vendor market on Saturdays and Sundays. Additional prices include $5 to paint a pumpkin. This event is also a fundraiser for the Botanical Gardens and all the funds go towards maintaining and keeping the gardens running. Enjoy and support these beautiful gardens by participating in this event!

4. Farmers Market
The OKC farmer’s public market is open every Saturday year-round. The Farmer’s Market is located on the first floor of the Historic Oklahoma City Farmers Public Market. This market hosts over 20 different vendors that offer produce, baked goods, hand-made soaps, jewelry, and more. The Farmer’s market is a great way to get out into the community and support small businesses. Even if you don’t plan on purchasing anything it’s still fun to go out and discover new shops.
