Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s SACC held a trunk or treat for the community Monday evening.
Many student athletes at SWOSU came out and decorated their cars for the kids of weatherford to come out and enjoy. Many of these students wore costumes related to their decorations. This trunk or treat seemed to be a hit for the community.
SACC representative, Taylor McMahon said “They didn’t expect this many people to show but there were just people steadily coming in the whole time. I think this will be a yearly thing and It was great to see the athletes engaging with the kids.”
Kids were seen dancing with the athletes to halloween music, playing the mini games, and enjoying free hot chocolate provided by SACC.
It is always good for the community to be involved with things on campus, it can be memories for these kids they may never forget. It is good to see the light it brings out not just in the kids but the athletes who participated.
