Ward D By: Freida McFadden

Overall Frieda McFadden’s books are super fast paced thrillers. Ward D is about Amy, she is a medical student and is on her first rotation in a psychiatric unit called ward d. She has been assigned to work the night shift here but is worried due to people outside of ward d warning her to stay away. She decides to go as she doesn’t have much choice in the matter.  Once she arrives she notices a patient she has seen before. This is where it flashed back to 10 years before while she was in highschool. She had a best friend named Jade. They were super close growing up but once in high school jade began going down a different path than what Amy wanted. Jade ended up after an event I can’t spoil for you, in a psychiatric unit. Amy thought she was released but once she saw her on Ward D everything changed. Jade was still mad at her and there was a clear sight of revenge she wanted. THats when things on Ward D got weird. Patients were coming up dead and missing. Amy swore she saw blood and heard screaming coming from the seclusion room but the head doctor swore no one could be in or out of there. Amy decides to speak with one of the patients on the floor to maybe get some insight and that’s when the pieces of the puzzle begin to click together. That’s all I can tell you, without spoiling the twist. Lets just say Freida McFadden’s books never disappoint.
