Almost halfway done with the Spring semester, Spring Break approaches. A time to relax, unwind, and rest before finishing out the school year. Before your trip begins make sure you have done research on the area you will be traveling to. Researching and booking your accommodations in advance help to ensure you are staying in a safe and clean environment. Share with loved ones what your travel plans are and know your emergency contact numbers.

Know matter your destination make sure you are always aware of your surrounding. Be cautious when using public transport, keep your valuables secured, and your phone charged and on you.

No matter where in the world you are, there is safety in numbers. Staying close to your friends/family/travel buddies helps you stay safe. Don’t wander off by yourself and avoid walking alone at night.
4. Drink Responsibly
If alcohol is included in your Spring Break plans know your limits. Consume responsibility, never leave your drink unattended, have a designated driver or reliable transportation to get home at the end of the night.
5. Trust Your Gut
Whenever you are out and about make sure you always trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right about a certain situation, person, or place, gather your belonging, gather your friends and leave. You know whats best for you, your safety is more important than any spring break experience.
