On Thursday, October 2nd, at 4:19 pm, a campus-wide email was sent out by Assistant Vice President of Public Relations & Marketing, Dr. Boone Clemmons. The message read:
“Students, Faculty, and Staff,
The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Campus Police Department is requesting the university community’s assistance in locating Logan Musil, a SWOSU student. He was recently reported missing by a family member.
Anyone with information about Logan’s whereabouts is asked to call the SWOSU Police Department at 580-774-3111.”
An updated message was sent out on Friday, October 3rd, at 2:54 pm that read:
Students, Faculty, and Staff,
The Southwestern Oklahoma State University Campus Police Department is requesting the community’s assistance in locating Logan Musil, a SWOSU student. He was recently reported missing by a family member.
Logan was last seen on September 12, 2025, at 11:48 am on SWOSU’s Weatherford Campus. At that time, he was wearing a camo undershirt, a black & white plaid jacket with a white hood, dark gray pants, and brown shoes, and was wearing glasses. Logan frequently carries a skateboard with a red bottom with graphics in the center.
Logan is 18 years old, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, and weighs 130 pounds, with blue eyes and black shoulder-length hair.
Anyone with information about Logan’s whereabouts is asked to call the SWOSU Police Department at 580-774-3111.”
Posts regarding the information circulated on Facebook Thursday Afternoon and into Friday. On Thursday evening, Logan’s grandmother, Lisa Cornett, put out a message on Facebook that read:
“My grandson is missing, Logan Musil. He was going to Southwest OSU in Weatherford. The last time we heard from him was about 2 weeks ago campus police said the last time he was seen on campus was September 8th. I’m not sure what to do. Please, my Oklahoma friends share this post. We’ve been in touch with the police and have checked with hospitals…Logan if you see this please, please get ahold of any of us, we love you!”
If anyone has any information at all, they are asked to call the SWOSU Police Department at 580-774-3111. The Southwestern will stay up to date and continue to share information as it becomes available.
