SWOSU Soccer currently 4-4-1 for the season
After a bit of a rough start to the season, the SWOSU soccer team is on a win-streak of two after winning against Ouachita Baptist University 2-1 this past Thursday. Sophomore Brianna Benitez scored both goals for the Lady Bulldogs making her the new current team leader in goals with four for the season.
The Lady Bulldogs are 2-0-1 in conference play after SWOSU’s away game last Tuesday against Northwestern ended in a tie, but won their game against East Central University last Saturday. The win against ECU was the first Great American Conference home game for the Lady Bulldogs.
The rest of the soccer season will consist of only conference play. The soccer team will play against Harding University later this week.
Harding University is currently 3-6-0 overall and 1-2-0 for conference play. The Lady Bulldogs have also been known for defeating the Lady Bison with Harding’s last win against SWOSU being in the 2017 season.
The Lady Bulldogs have 9 games left in the regular season until the GAC Tournament.
The team plays Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas on Saturday, Oct. 9.
