Player Profile: Gregor Weck, men’s golf
Gregor Weck is a fifth-year senior golf player at SWOSU from Wiesbaden, Germany. Before involving himself in golf, Weck played soccer and ran track. One summer, Weck’s parents placed him in a golf camp.
“I started doing that and pretty much went with it,” Weck said about starting his golf career. “I had a bunch of friends that went over to the states and played college golf. I only heard good things about it so I wanted to do it and combine it with my academics.”
Weck is planning on double majoring in psychology and finance. After graduating, he plans on returning to school to get his master’s in finance with hopes to get a job in consulting or investment banking.
“I’ve worked in consulting before, which I enjoyed,” Weck mentioned. “I want to try investment banking.”
Weck has spent all five of his collegiate years at SWOSU.
“At first, I never went on a visit or anything, I just came over,” Weck said about his journey to SWOSU. “I told myself ‘I don’t think I’m going to do four years here,’ but then I really started to like my teammates and coach. It’s fun traveling to different tournaments and meeting all of these different people.”
Weck was recently selected as Bulldog of the week but said he wants to accomplish even more than that.
