Southwestern Oklahoma State University will help Oklahomans who have successfully completed some college coursework, but have not yet finished a college degree, with a unique opportunity to submit college admission applications, receive advisement and financial aid counseling, and enroll in college classes this Saturday, March 26, and Tuesday, March 29, on the Weatherford campus.

Reach Higher: RECONNECT is a series of coordinated student recruitment events.

SWOSU faculty and staff will be on site in the lobby of the General Thomas P. Stafford Center from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Saturday (March 26) and 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday (March 29).

Dr. Todd Wiggen, coordinator for the Reach Higher program at SWOSU, said there will be refreshments. Additional information is available by contacting Wiggen at [email protected]. In addition, information about RECONNECT is available at www.reconnectok.org.

The primary goals of Reach Higher: RECONNECT Week are to increase awareness of the adult-friendly degree completion options available through the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education’s Reach Higher initiative and encourage adults who have earned some college credit to successfully complete their degrees.

Reach Higher provides two distinct degree completion program strands for adult learners. Reach Higher: FlexFinish offers flexible enrollment and online options to working adults who wish to pursue an associate degree in enterprise development or a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership. Reach Higher: DirectComplete offers adult students the opportunity to complete a degree program connected with workforce development needs that align with Oklahoma’s 100 Critical Occupations list.
