Grappling club is available for every student at SWOSU who may be interested in Jiu-Jitsu. It’s beginner-friendly and a good way to get in shape without going to the gym. You will learn different techniques, arm bars, and different fighting ways.
The SWOSU grappling club is run by Hunter Dodson who is a 5EIGHTY Grappling BJJ Blue Belt. He has been grappling and doing Jiu-Jitsu for years now and is excited to teach SWOSU students all about grappling. Speaking with president Hunter Dodson, he states, “It’s not super easy, but we will push you. He has a motto that seems harsh but we believe in ‘Nobody cares, Work Harder’. It may be hard but you will grow so much as a person and feel confident. It’s also fun to come out with friends and learn new things.” It seems like a bonded group of people and they are excited to meet new students.
The club plans to meet every Tuesday at 6pm at Cedar Canyon DT room. Meetings have been postponed as there was a massive water leak in the room. To keep up with updates about club meetings follow them on Instagram at blue_and_white_grapplingclub
