Women’s basketball win second straight
The SWOSU women’s basketball team won their second game in a row in a contest against the University of Arkansas of Monticello. The Bulldogs gave UAM no chance in this matchup, with the closest quarter being the third quarter with a seven-point differential.
In a well-rounded effort, the Lady Bulldogs won 95-40, setting the tone with an early 31-12 lead in the first quarter.
Makyra Tramble led all scorers with 26 points on an efficient 9-for-15 shooting as well as 5-for-9 three-point shooting.
The second leading scorer was Morgan Smith with 19 points for herself on 7-for-12 shooting and 5-for-8 from behind the arc.
Macy Gore added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs have now won back-to-back games heading into a rivalry matchup against Northwestern Oklahoma State University at the PCEC. Their matchup will be next Thursday, Feb. 3 at 5:30 p.m. The team will enter the matchup 17-4 on the season and 11-2 in the Great American Conference.
