SWOSU baseball off-season work is showing in their pre-season games. After splitting a series with Missouri Western 2-2. SWOSU begins a 7 game win streak heading into their conference opener.
Baseball player Reece Burke came out strong for SWOSU in one of the games against Newman going 3 for 3 with 3 homeruns. Reece states, “I felt good in warm ups and seeing my teammates be consistent at the plate gave me confidence every time I got in the box.”
SWOSU baseball lost their series with Henderson and is now 1-2 in conference. Baseball coach Zack Saunders stated this after the game “Henderson is one of the best in our conference, and the way we played I feel there is a strong season coming out of these boys.”
SWOSU Baseball hopes to pick back up their winning streak this weekend at Ouachita Baptist and bring home a sweep for SWOSU.
