According to court records, three men have been charged with aggravated assault and battery following an incident that left a SWOSU student with severe injuries. A probable cause affidavit revealed the three to be Austin Garrett, Elijah Vinson, and Talon Quick. Vinson was a member of the SWOSU Football team in 2025.  

The affidavit revealed that the incident occurred at a party at The Lodge, an off-campus apartment complex. The victim, SWOSU student Brandon Coronado, was attacked near the intersection of 5th and Oklahoma after he and a friend attempted to run following an altercation at the party.  

The documents state that as the three caught up to Coronado and his friend, they attacked him, leaving severe injuries. Coronado had to be airlifted to the OU Trauma Center, and hospital staff said he suffered two orbital fractures, a nasal fracture, and a collapsed lung.  

Coronado said he defended his friend because he would be unable to defend himself due to his attending school on a student visa.
