2026 Brandy Awards

SWOSU Collegiate Activities Board (CAB) hosted the Brandy Awards on Thursday morning. Brandy awards recognize outstanding faculty, staff, advisors, and administrators who make a lasting impact on student life at SWOSU. They are nominated and voted on by students. This year’s honorees were as follows:

  • Faculty Member of the Year: Taryn Mikles
  • Staff Member of the Year: Mark Smith
  • Advisor of the Year: Emma Sutton
  • Administrator of the Year: Dr. Wendy Yoder

Coy Pope is a senior from Yukon, Oklahoma, majoring in Parks and Wildlife Law Enforcement and Wildland Fire. He enjoys writing and covering sports and other activities, events, and anything SWOSU-related. Previously, Coy was the editor-in-chief for the YHS Insight, a publication that he wrote for during all four years in high school. Coy enjoys watching football with friends and family, and deems himself the biggest Chiefs fan on campus!
