This Saturday, November 15th, the Miss SWOSU pageant took place, presented by Alison Baker, the Mistress of Ceremonies. As every year, the competition drew a large crowd eager to see all the participants and, above all, who would represent SWOSU for a year. It was on this Saturday that Mia Macias, our Miss SWOSU 2025, crowned Miss SWOSU 2026.
The Miss SWOSU pageant is much more than a simple beauty event: it is a university tradition that aims to promote leadership, community involvement, and the academic qualities of female students. Each year, candidates compete to represent the university through a series of events, including an on-stage interview, an evening wear competition, a health and fitness competition, and finally, a talent competition. Beyond the competition itself, Miss SWOSU emphasizes self-confidence, discipline, and the pursuit of personal goals.
After deliberation, the judges announced the new face of SWOSU: Selah Bentle, from Laverne, Oklahoma. A freshman in radiologic technology, her chosen CSI was “A Lamp for a Little Heart,” and for her talent performance, she played “Never Enough” on the flute.
We look forward to seeing Selah’s future as Miss SWOSU 2026 and wish her all the best.
